Privacy
How the Onyx Combat Academy website handles information when you browse, use the website assistant or send an enquiry.
This notice describes the current website setup. It should be reviewed whenever new analytics, advertising, payment or customer-management services are connected.
Website enquiries
When you use the Free First Class form, the details you enter are sent to the Onyx website enquiry endpoint. If website email delivery is configured, the enquiry is forwarded to the academy enquiry inbox at help@brazillianjiujitsu.com using an email-delivery provider. The website does not intentionally create a separate public-facing customer database from these submissions.
If online delivery is unavailable, the website falls back to opening a pre-addressed email draft on your device so you can choose whether to send the enquiry through your own email service.
The form asks for your name, email address, class interest and any optional message you choose to provide. For a child, a parent or guardian may include an age or other information relevant to arranging the class. Please only provide information that is reasonably necessary for the enquiry.
Website assistant
The Ask Onyx assistant uses pre-written answers in your browser. The text of questions typed into the assistant is not sent to an external AI service or included in analytics events. A short session-storage flag may be used in your browser so the assistant does not repeatedly show the same introductory prompt during the same browsing session.
Embedded video and Instagram
The homepage can display a Vimeo video and an Instagram feed or profile embed. Loading embedded content may cause your browser to connect directly to Vimeo, Instagram or related content-delivery services. Those services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page requesting the content, and they may apply their own cookies or account settings. The Vimeo background video is configured with its privacy-focused “do not track” option where supported.
Payments
When dedicated Onyx online payment links are enabled, membership buttons may direct you to Square. This website does not collect or store card details directly. Square processes payment information under its own privacy terms.
Hosting and security data
The website is hosted on infrastructure that may process technical logs such as IP address, browser information, requested page, response status and time of access for security, reliability and service operation.
Analytics and conversion measurement
The site contains hooks that can measure actions such as free-trial, timetable, membership, Maps or Instagram clicks if a supported analytics service is connected. The current website code is designed not to send the text of chatbot questions as analytics data. If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is enabled, this notice and any required consent controls should be reviewed before activation.
Your rights
UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of personal information, to object in some circumstances and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. For a website privacy or enquiry question, contact help@brazillianjiujitsu.com.
